Hand Braided Duck Call Lanyards & Goose Call Lanyards by Goose Noose Lanyards

Goose Noose Pro Staff

Tim Marcou

All of my 32 years have been spent in the midwest right on the Mississippi River. My father thankfully introduced me to the outdoors at an early age with whitetail deer hunting and fishing. These activities were big events in our home.  I grew up and maintained a passion for all things outdoors, but really focused on waterfowl hunting. There nothing that remotely compares to a crisp November morning in the marsh or field. I annually hunt WI, MN, IA, and ILL chasing ducks and geese. I have a beautiful wife Shana, and two amazing daughters, Madison and Isabella. I enjoy passing the off season by fishing FLW bass tournaments around the midwest, and ice fishing for walleyes. See you in the field.

I am from the Mississippi Delta born and raised in Greenwood, Ms.  I have been hunting since I was 7. I hunt mainly in The MS Delta and Ar. Delta. I have guided hunts in both Ar. And Ms. I love anything to do with waterfowl hunting. I love sitting in a green timber hole when 100 mallards fall in 2 feet from the end of the blind. The next 10 seconds after that are the most intense and exciting seconds I have ever experienced. I want to give a special thanks to Goose Noose Lanyards for having the best lanyards on the market, and glad to be a part of the Pro Staff.

Jake Piel

It started out as a dream, and today this dream is becoming his life. It is much more then a hobby, much more then any sport, and there is something about waterfowl, and hunting in general that is indescribable. Live out your dreams, inspire others and acknowledge God along the way.

Jake Piel was born and raised here in the great state of Washington. He began hunting at the age of 10, and took his first game animal at the age of 12. Since then he has spent time hunting in 6 different states, killing limits of ducks and geese. Jake began his passion for waterfowl in high school, on the riverbanks of the Columbia River near Reed Island, with close family friends Jay and Jake Ponce. He can now be found all over the country and here in his home state of Washington hunting and guiding clients to they’re limits of ducks, geese, and a turkey here and there.

Jake recently was given the honor to serve with Jason Holcomb, and JK Waterfowl as they’re operations manager, giving Jason ideas to boost his company in the right direction. After deciding to start his own guide service Jake now is the Owner and Operator of his own guide service, offering first class Duck and Goose hunts in Eastern Washington and turkey hunts in Central Washington.

During the off-season he can be found competing in local and regional calling competitions. Jake also spends time working with his local chapter of Ducks Unlimited, where he volunteers to plan each years Auction/Benefit dinner.

Recently Jake has been selected by Big Sean Hammock, of Krugerfarms.com as a Certified Elite Guide for Kruger Farms “Guide Recommended Gear.” Along with Kruger Farms, Jake is part of the Benelli USA National Shooting Staff, Team Strait Meat at Foiles Migrators Inc, Goose Noose Lanyards pro-staff, and is a part of the “X-Treme” Team at Dakota Decoys.

Jake’s plans for the near future consist of the widespread growth of Krugerfarm.com, Foiles Migrators, and Dakota Decoys throughout the Northwest. He is striving to become one of the leading guides in the Northwest. Jake plans to build a personal relationship with his teammates at Krugerfarms, Dakota Decoys, Foiles Migrators, and Goose Noose Lanyards and continue to grow with the companies that Jake is currently representing.

I was born on March, 9th 1974 in north central Pennsylvania.  I grew up in Selinsgrove, PA along the shores of the Susquehanna River, where I learned to hunt and fish.  As a youngster I would sit and watch my dad and his friends repaint and carve decoys for the upcoming season.  I soon picked up decoy carving and still enjoy it to this day.  With my dad’s heavy involvement in our local chapter of Ducks Unlimited, waterfowl hunting was soon in my blood.  And I would like to thank him and my grandfather for introducing me to the wonderful sport and community of waterfowl hunting that I have come to love.

Growing up I could not wait till I turned 12, so I could go hunting with my family at the family farm, and our family cabin in northern Pennsylvania, where I learned to love and respect the outdoors.  We hunted everything from white-tail deer, black bear, turkey, pheasant, grouse, squirrels, and rabbits.  My grandfather taught me everything I know today about hunting and wildlife.  Every time I head out to hunt, I know he is right there beside me.

After graduating from Selinsgrove Area High School I enlisted in the Navy and served during the first gulf war.  Currently I live in Jonestown, Pennsylvania with my wonderful fiancée Megon.  Who is my best friend and hunting partner.  Our wedding is set for June 3rd, 2011.  I also have a 3 year old yellow lab named Sage, who gets highly upset at me when I don’t take her along hunting.

When I am not working I am usually chasing Canada Geese, Ducks, or Snow Geese.  During the off season I am usually practicing my calling or competing in calling competitions. I am also a volunteer firefighter with the Perseverance Fire Company in Jonestown.  I have introduced our Captain and Lieutenant to the wonderful world of waterfowl hunting and they are now addicted like myself.  The majority of our hunting crew is volunteer firefighters and our friends.  Along with being a firefighter, I am also a rhythm tenor drummer with the Lochiel Emerald Society of Harrisburg Pipe and Drums Corps.  We hunt numerous fields in Pennsylvania, along the Susquehanna River, and the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Along with being on the Goose Noose Lanyards Pro Staff I also am on Chad Belding’s Banded Calls, and Hevi-Shot’s Pro Staff.

I love the camaraderie of our hunting crew and waterfowl hunters in general.  Whether we are waterfowl hunting, deer, turkey hunting, or fishing, we always have fun.   We don’t even mind if we do not manage to bag anything thing that day.  Just being out, enjoying our time together and being in the outdoors is good enough for us.

Please remember our youth is our future.  Teach them the love and passion we have for our sport, so it can continue in the future.  Be safe and always come home in one piece to those who love you!

Brandon Shaffer

My name is Brandon Shaffer, I am 17 year old from Spring Grove PA. I have been hunting waterfowl and calling for 4 years now. Water fowling is a huge part of my life since I have been introduced. My favorite waterfowl hunting is in a nice timber hole, or in a layout with a spread of honkers out. I am a pro-staff member of team Banded Calls. I hunt just about everything and am a very big fisherman. When i cant hunt waterfowl I am out shooting clays up until the day of the next year or out on a lake somewhere fishing. I also spend lots of time scouting for more areas to hunt fowl, or to put a deer stand. I look forward to bringing Goose Noose Lanyards’ into the field and on the stage this season and many more to come!

I'm 17 years old. I live in Spring Grove PA. I am pro-staffer at Banded Calls. Also I compete in calling contests, I have 8 wins in the junior division two of which were Southern Maryland Regional’s, 18 top 5's also in juniors with two top 3's in the PA States. My favorite type of hunting is flooded timber for ducks and corn fields for geese. I hunt pretty much everything.
